Registration Information

Building upon 2011’s success, ICI and IDC are once again bringing you more! Four noteworthy events will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel on May 9–11, 2012:

  • The 54th Annual General Membership Meeting (GMM)
  • The Mutual Fund Compliance Programs Conference
  • The Operations and Technology Conference
  • IDC’s Investment Company Directors Workshop

ICI’s Board of Governors, IDC’s Governing Council, and numerous ICI committees also will be meeting at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. The combination of these events will draw together the most senior leaders and representatives from diverse areas of the industry for important discussions exploring the core values of funds and opportunities for the industry and investors.

A single registration fee will provide access to all conference and workshop sessions and to an enhanced Exhibit Hall featuring more than 60 service providers.

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and will not be accepted by phone.

Conference policy allows up to two individuals from associate member firms to attend at the member rate.

Members and associate members of the Investment Company Institute

Members include all officers, partners, and employees of organizations that are currently members of ICI. Associate members are SEC-registered investment advisers or FINRA-registered broker-dealers that are not the primary adviser or underwriter to an SEC-registered mutual fund. Associate members are limited to two conference registrations at the member rate.

Note: ICI reserves the right to change incorrect registration types chosen by registrants up to 30 days after the event. If the registrant has an outstanding balance, ICI will notify the individual within the 30-day period to request payment.

Booth registration opened at 1:00 p.m. (ET) on December 15, 2011. Registrations are still being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

2012 Registration Fee for Exhibitor Personnel

On-site representatives are required to register and pay a registration fee. There are no complimentary registrations with the purchase of a booth, nor does ICI extend exhibit-only registrations. Please note: you must reserve a booth before you can register as an exhibitor for this conference.

Note: ICI reserves the right to change incorrect registration types chosen by registrants up to 30 days after the event. If the registrant has an outstanding balance, ICI will notify the individual within the 30-day period to request payment.

Remittance Instructions

When registering online, please note that your credit card will be charged immediately upon submission of your registration.

Note: A notice of confirmation will be emailed within five (5) business days for online registrations and within 10 business days for registrations with check payment. All checks must be postmarked by April 26, 2012, to ensure that registration materials are prepared for pickup at the conference registration desk.

Cancellations

No registration fees will be refunded after May 2, 2012. Any cancellations received in writing prior to May 2, 2012, will incur a $150 administrative fee, with the balance of the registration fee refunded. All cancellations must be received in writing. Substitutions within the same firm may be submitted without financial penalty via email to conferences@ici.org.

Service Provider Exhibition

More than 60 industry service provider firms will be represented in the Exhibit Hall. The service provider exhibition will open with a reception at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9. Refreshments will be served at all times when the Exhibit Hall is open. We encourage attendees to visit with exhibitors and learn firsthand about the many products and services that are available to investment companies. Please refer to the conference program for specific Exhibit Hall hours.

Legal Forum 

ICI is pleased to provide law firms with the opportunity to showcase their investment management expertise through a 30-minute presentation to 2012 General Membership Meeting (GMM) conference attendees. The Legal Forum will take place on Wednesday, May 9 and Thursday, May 10, 2012, in the GMM Exhibit Hall. The presentation topic must be relevant to the asset management industry and must be approved by ICI’s GMM planning committee. The cost of participating in this opportunity is $3,500 per firm. Registration for this opportunity is available now, and only the first seven law firms to register will be allotted a presentation session. Conference Dress

Business dress is customary for all conference sessions and events.

Media

Members of the media may be present throughout all open sessions of the General Membership Meeting and the Operations and Technology Conference. Statements made during sessions and presentations, or in conversation, are considered “on the record” and may appear in the press. The Mutual Fund Compliance Programs Conference and IDC’s Investment Company Directors Workshop are closed to the media. The Investment Company Institute assumes no liability for nonrefundable transportation costs, hotel accommodations, or additional costs incurred by registrants.
